WHAT IS CASH FLOW?

Cash Flow 101 is a board game similar to the GAME OF LIFE or MONOPOLY.  It's more like a combination of the two.  It's a game that teaches you how to invest in businesses, stocks and real estate so that you can have the courage to actually go out and do it for real, plus it's just plain fun. There's a lot more to do than just buy property as in MONOPOLY. The aim of the game is to get out of the rat race. To do this you'll have to buy shares, property and judge other potential investments. While certainly simplified over real life, it does show how investing in the correct things can boost your personal income.

NOVEMBER UPDATE

This month's Cash Flow games followed their usual course of ups and downs. On Saturday, Dunstan the Nurse was able to climb out of the rat race first with the purchase of a high volume laundromat, eventually claiming victory with a successful Russian oil deal. Joining him in the fast track was Yuki the Secretary due to a few well thought out investments, but she had to leave early and was unable to capitalize on her new found fortune.  Luck was not with Michael the Truck Driver or Hisao the Mechanic as both floundered in the land of unemployment or unfruitful investments.        As for Sunday's game, not even an hour had passed and Yoko the Mechanic leaped out of the rat race and into the fast track. She sailed around the board for the longest time seemingly unable to purchase any properties. She eventually claimed victory but not before being divorced 4 times, audited 3 times and sued once.  Greg the Police Officer sat around (in his boat) waiting for a big deal to come his way.  I think he set a record for the lowest paycheck of any player not claiming bankruptcy.  Business Manager Ben and Dunstan the Janitor were able to join Yoko in the fast track but were unable to catch up to her.  It looked close though, especially after her 4th divorce.
